FOSS4GE 2024

The Landscape Geoinformatics Lab of the Department of Geography at University of Tartu in cooperation with the Estonian Geoinformatics Society (ESTGIS) is organizing the FOSS4G Europe (Free and Open Source Software for Geospatial Europe) conference on 1-7 July 2024 in Tartu, Estonia.

The Free and Open Source for Geospatial Europe conference is the European branch event of the Open Source Geospatial Foundation (OSGeo) annual conference. It is the FOSS4G European community’s highlight event that brings together developers and users of open source geoinformatics software, professionals and policy makers, entrepreneurs and investors, the academic community and students.

The conference program lasts a total of 7 days. Practical workshops will be held on 1-2 July to introduce software, perform spatial analysis, and introduce new spatial data technologies. On 3-5 July, there will be conference presentation days, which include both technical and academic presentations. In the last days of the event, a community sprint will be held, during which open source GIS software will be jointly developed/improved.
